Our president, Allan Swicegood has been in the machining industry for 37+ years. He began his career in a small manual machine shop drilling holes in small parts. They kept asking him if he wanted to learn more and he kept saying yes until eventually he could run every machine in their shop. Allan’s desire to learn and gain knowledge eventually led to him purchasing a two axis knee mill w/ a two and half axis prototrak control and a small lathe. He started doing odd jobs that people had trouble finding someone to do. In 1997, he started his own shop which he and his father ran for about 13 years before merging with a larger shop in 2010, where he became the inside salesman and the face of the company. They were at $3 million in sales when he got there and when he left toward the end of 2022, they were at $9 million in sales with at $4.5 million backlog. Every step of his career has been marked with a passion for learning and the desire to help his customers be successful. Allan does not shy away from the difficult jobs, but rather works to put together solutions that will help both the customer and the shop push the envelope of what can be achieved.
